The Accelerated Mobile Pages project was launched in October 2015.  The AMP project is very much needed, as mobile usages are overtaking desktop search in many countries. To deliver the user experience and page load times as desktop versions, a new solution to improve site speed was needed.T he main reason for the establishment of AMP is the open source initiative compelled debates and discussions between publishers and technology companies.A lot of publishers, advertisers and online retailers have developed mobile apps to provide a good user experience to their user base. Where the need for faster loading mobile content was often the main reason. So for the better user experience, Google launch this project on 7 October 2015.

Why AMP is created:

My first question is what is a good website for you, what is a good page in your mind  so the basic answer is that who take less time to load the page is good for you.

It helps web pages load faster which potentially improves usability and convinces visitors to stay longer on your site engaging with your content. The basic reason is created for faster load time leads to better engagement, which reduces bounce rate and improves mobile ranking.  If your load times are perfect then people give priority to your advertisement.  Through this, you improve user engagement with fast, compelling experiences. Keep your audience engaged. AMP pages typically load in under one second. Maximize your revenue. Maintain flexibility and control. Reduce complexity in your operations. Maximize your ROI. Build for a sustainable future.

The advantage of AMP:

  1. Increase speeds up website load time :

AMP accelerates the speed of your page. Everything is about speed these days. Especially when it comes to a content presentation on a mobile device.  The faster your page loads, if the pages are faster than it can be viewed by visitors. From a consumer point of view, it is one of the most important elements of a site. Because Consumers don’t want to wait. A one-second delay can mean the difference between a conversion and a bounce. In fact, 40 percent of consumers will abandon a site if it takes more than three seconds to load. Then visitors left the site.

  1. Improved search engine ranking :

Although AMP is not yet meant to be an independent search ranking factors, mobile friendliness and page load speed times are well-known ranking factors. As AMP greatly improves page loading times and mobile friendliness it is highly likely that a website developed with AMP will be rewarded with higher rankings than slower and unresponsive sites.

  1. Supporting for Ads on the page:

AMP aims to support a range of ad networks, formats, and technologies. The goal is to deliver ads that are fast whilst allowing the content to look good and grab the viewer’s attention. This should help advertisers to increase their influence and improve ROI on ad spend.

Limitations in AMP:

  1. Not change design and format:

layout and design is an important component of a business's overall In accelerated mobile page design will be fixed .one design for all pages is creating a lot of problems. If design will be the same people not confirm which site is good for visitors. This means you cannot add certain widgets and features to your mobile AMP website. This limits your ability to add smart email option forms, social interaction, etc.

  1. Used only for blog or article reader:

AMP is widely used by blogs, news sites, and other informative resources..  Nowadays With more and more viewers using their smartphones and tablets for everything from browsing to online purchases, so it is limitations for these people.

  1. It Lower User Engagement

Many websites thrive on user interactions, like social widgets, user ratings, comments, option forms and so on. However, Google AMP makes it quite difficult for website owners to keep users engaged and .interact with their content.
